Climate change threatens our community through destruction from severe weather events, increased food costs and accelerating the spread of diseases. We must act now to mitigate these problems for our community. I hope you will consider joining the 177 jurisdictions spanning 37 countries and six continents that have signed the Under2 MOU coalition which seeks to reduce GHG emissions 80-95% below 1990 levels, or to 2 annual metric tons of carbon-dioxide-equivalent per capita by 2050.
