The ParisAgreement.org Media Platform launched at COP21, quantifying the progress towards the Paris Agreement through data visualizations and receiving coverage from major media outlets including The Guardian, Reuters, the Economist, and Nature.

By tracking the “places of indecision in the text” – number of [brackets] and Options in formal United Nations negotiating typography – ParisAgreement.org was able to share the objective narrative of what was going on across many negotiating rooms throughout the Le Bourget site: steady progress towards consensus and the landmark Paris Agreement. Through the @ParisAgreement twitter handle, the ParisAgreement.org team was able to hone in exclusively on fact-based updates during the negotiations and cut to the meat of the negotiations.
